In real estate, the question always at the top of our minds is: What can we do to ensure our clients, who trusted us to sell their house, receive the best service possible? It is the same for us, VHT Studios. You trusted us to photograph the property, and you believed in the marketing strategy we recommended. Yet, the last few weeks looked something like this:
First, the seller repainted the main rooms and tidied up the rest of the home.
Then, you prepared a fabulous marketing strategy and hired professionals to bring it to life!
Finally, we took amazing photographs and created a beautiful video.
Then our world changed.
COVD-19 brought unforeseen challenges, and now we must do all we can to be safe and creative as we keep our businesses going. For many of us, that means working from home and taking extra measures to do our jobs safely. While there are new difficulties that come with all of this, there are also new opportunities. I’d like to share a few with you.
3D Tours & Interactive Floor Plans
In the areas where the photographer can go inside the house, a 3D tour or interactive floor plan is a great idea. If you already have professional photography (which is a MUST!), you can still do better with an Interactive Floor Plan. It is the perfect tool to communicate with potential buyers and discuss all the details over the phone. It allows the opportunity to go over the photos, with the floor plan at hand, and stop in any important rooms to discuss details and answer questions.
Drone Photography & Video
Aerial photography is a timely solution for states/areas where we can’t go into the home. Focus on the house’s exterior instead and the amazing views of the surrounding neighborhood.
Drone video is beneficial as well, especially when you have a corner lot property or oversized property. Of course, it is good for capturing stunning views no matter what kind of property you have, like ocean or skyline views. However, for larger properties, you can really get every angle of the home’s exterior with drone video. Also, the narration is valuable since you can describe not only the exterior but the interior too, in case you are not able to go back for a second photoshoot.
Stay Social
Lastly, social media is buzzing now more than ever. It’s important that we remain part of the conversations happening there – this will not only help you stay informed, but it will help your business in the long run. Let people know you are going through it too and that we are all in this together. People want to connect with other people even more so now, so be a human, not a salesman. In other words, don’t make the error of only promoting your business and not showing sympathy to those most affected by this horrible virus. That said, it is okay to still promote your business, and you should be – just in a way that is sensitive to everything going on. With the extra time on your hands, you can make sure the content you post is top quality. Top-quality photographs, videos, and all other elements that are part of Intelligent Marketing Strategy!
Even though it is a crazy time, it’s a good opportunity to virtually reconnect with friends and family you’ve been meaning to contact but haven’t had the time for. I did this recently and was really glad I did. I hope you do the same!
If you have questions about how to adapt your marketing strategy during this time, I would love to connect with you. Please feel free to reach out!
