When journalists descended on Sochi last week before the 22nd Olympic Winter Games, many took to Twitter to express their dismay at the state of their hotel rooms. While their conditions are hardly ideal – yellow water, bees in the honey, and more- they are certainly providing entertainment for audiences back home.
While most of us are probably feeling thankful that we’re in the US, where there is clear water, working doors, and toilets that flush the paper, here at VHT Studios, we see a lot of terrible listing photos. And looking at all these photos of Sochi hotel room fails is giving us a bit of Déjà vu.
So join us while we play – Listing Fail or Sochi Fail?
#1. Hotel room or dilapidated listing?
If you guessed that this crib is in Sochi, you are correct!
#2. Just try to get a good night’s sleep. We dare you.
Lo and behold, this is an actual listing photo. (via The Worst Room)
#3. Sochi hotel gym or under construction listing?
It’s a Sochi hotel fitness center! At least it’s not an Olympic training facility, right?
#4. Olympic Village or terrifying listing photo?Terrifying listing photo. Hey, it’s not so bad, it comes with its own en suite! (via The Worst Room)
#5. Listing photo, Sochi hotel room, or, I’ll give you a third option – jail.
Are you relieved or worried to know that this is a real listing photo in NYC? (via The Worst Room)
#6. Are leaks more acceptable in Sochi or a listing photo?
The answer SHOULD be neither, but if you guessed Sochi, you’re right!
#7. Studio or journalist’s hotel room?
Sadly, it’s a studio real estate listing. And even more sadly, this unit does not come with a kitchen. (via The Worst Room)
#8. Okay, this one should be easy….Listing photo! Just kidding, it’s a Sochi hotel.
Moral of the story – don’t let your listing be confused for a Sochi hotel room. Quality listing photos matter! Thanks for playing!
