The Photography
With three distinct levels of photography services, you have a choice in how you present your listing, regardless of list price. We start with Silver; it features high-quality photography that caters to a variety of homes including single-family homes, apartments, studios and townhomes. Our next level is Gold, which offers multiple exposure images that bring sharpness and clarity along with our Blue Sky upgrade. Lastly, we have our Platinum series, which offers the most experienced photographers, advanced techniques and highlights all those architectural details.
Our new photography suite creates the best presentation possible and offers the ability to tailor your photography to your listing’s exact needs. Carmen Allen of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty has been loving her options. “I love that I can select 1 or 2 extra photos without being placed in a larger package!”
With a new product offering, also comes an improved way of capturing photographs. Vince Collura, Vice President of Product, Talent, and Innovation, shares the science behind our change to shooting in RAW.
“RAW files are the actual light data as recorded by the sensor, layered into a digital file that needs to be “developed” much like the way film does. The color depth and light sensitivity that RAW files give us, complements our processing methodology to produce brilliant and vibrant images of homes that actually show color and light even more accurately than the human eye.” With this upgraded infrastructure at VHT Studios, we can provide you higher quality images at a faster speed.
Shaun Raugstad of @properties sees the benefits too. “I’m loving the new Platinum, Gold and Silver offerings. It makes so much sense and it seems mutually beneficial. The Process
To experience the simplified and custom-tailored experience, all you need to do is log into your MyVHT account to place your order. The next business day after your photography appointment, you can review and select your images using our On-Demand Review and Delivery System, then check out and download. The process is quick and easy from start to finish.
This is especially handy in the busiest time of the year, the Spring, when many of your schedules are jam-packed. Risa Weiss of @properties can attest to this. “I love that the new options simplify ordering. The turnaround time is awesome, especially in the Spring market when we want our listings active as soon as possible!”
The Outcome
In the past, clients would call VHT Studios Client Services to schedule a reshoot when they needed more photographs. Our new system gives you access to all the photographs taken of your listings, so you’re able to purchase additional images at any time. The photographers have more freedom at photography sessions to create their best work, and VHT Studios’ clients have more options when it comes to deciding how to best market their listings.
Some clients even decide that all of the photographs will represent the listing best, like Ted Tomas of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “With the new On-Demand Review and Delivery System, you sent me 30 photos and they were all so good. March 13, 2019Nice job, Cassandra! I’m in Naples FL — fortunate to have been the primary test market for the new Metal series now introduced nationwide.
The reaction from clients (agents and brokers) has been close to universally positive. From my side of the equation, I spend less time on location not having to deal with the counterproductive ‘image review’ process on the 2″ camera screen. But best of all, the ‘a-la-carte’ process — allowing agents to only choose the views they like — has made upgrades from Sliver orders to Gold a breeze.
My per-job income is 50% higher this year than last. And while the reduction of my on-location time is not that dramatic, I am in and out of a shoot in enough time to allow me to get in one extra appointment in times of high demand.
Not all will agree that this amounts to a pay raise — but that’s the way I see it!
