Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) mission is to create communities of support to keep families together and near the medical care of their ill or injured children. The COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for families to tour the RMHC facilities in New Hyde Park, New York in person. We were honored for the opportunity to help by donating a Matterport 3D Tour, which gives families the ability to virtually walk-through the facility from anywhere.
Matterport 3D Tours are the next best thing to actually being there. This technology allows viewers to look up, down, and spin 360 degrees as they virtually “walk-through” the property from any device. Click here to experience the RMHC in New Hyde Park tour for yourself.
“What an amazing gift, thank you so very much! The possibilities are endless.” – Matt Campo, CEO RMHC NY Metro.
RMHC New York Metro and their cornerstone program, RMHC in New Hyde Park, opened in 1986 and now has 42 bedrooms. It mainly serves families throughout Long Island and the greater New York Metro area, however 10-15% come from other parts of the country and the world.
RMHC, New Hyde Park works directly with hospital social workers at their partner hospitals, Cohen Children’s Medical Center and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital to ensure anyone under the age of 21 who is admitted or is being treated is aware of the program.
The organization relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to operate. The Matterport 3D Tour will be an invaluable tool in their fundraising efforts and in educating donors and volunteers.
