Bathrooms are hard to photograph. Period. The space is tight, glass and shiny surfaces create a million different reflections and, given the location of the room, there may be no source of natural light. So what can be done to make the process easier?
Capture mirrors and glossy surfaces at an angle to avoid making an accidental appearance in your photo. Furthermore, the resulting greater perspective of the room really makes the shot. This bathroom feels spacious because of these minor adjustments.
Unfortunately, there is no easy remedy for these terrible listing photos:

Gee, thanks, I don’t think this home would have sold without the aerial toilet bowl photo. At least it’s clean-ish.
What concerns me about this photo is that the seller has no kids. Yikes.
Ahhh, yes. The obligatory blurry bathroom photo shot with a cell phone.
Kudos this photographer for getting right in there where the action is – the shower – and delivering this one-of-a-kind, sure to impress photograph.
This is either a poorly executed bathroom mirror pic for Facebook by a 16 year old, or one of the worst bathroom listing photos I have seen. And not just today. Either way, shame!
