Cris, we just photographed one of your listings with a drone. What were your first impressions of the drone shoot? Was it what you expected?
I think it was amazing. It was amazing. I wasn’t sure what I expected because I had never done anything like this before and I knew it was a great opportunity to bring a lot of attention to one of my new listings and so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was pretty neat.
You know you hear about drones, but you’re just not sure what they’re capable of. I think it’s a huge marketing tool because if it’s something I can offer to my sellers and say to them, not only do I have great photography, I have still shots, I do virtual tours, I can add a drone video. I think because it’s so new, I think that’s something a lot of sellers are going to be like, “Well I want a drone video”. I also think it’s also a wonderful thing to be able to give them after the house is sold for a memory. I learned that today. I didn’t even know that that was a possibility.
I would think once the neighbors in the area see drone footage of their neighborhood, they might also be interested, or at least contact you and say, “Hey, can we market my property in the same way?”
I would love that. That would be great. I think it was a nice think that all the neighbors knew about it. So this is such a new thing that when they do go to sell their house, they better be calling me.
