Since we all had so much fun last time, let’s tag along with our favorite agent as he photographs his next listing. Lesson to be learned here: sheer volume does not trump quality. Having a million listing photos does not magically enhance the look of your photographs nor does it make you a professional photographer.
Let’s begin.
“I’ve gotten some flack for shooting my own listings with my cell phone camera, but nothing is going to go wrong today. I am Anne Geddes and this house is my baby in a bucket.” SNAP.
“The kitchen. The real money shot, in my opinion.” SNAP.
“Couple more photos won’t hurt.” SNAP SNAP.
“I know enough to know that potential buyers will definitely want to see this…” SNAP.
“….few steps to the left….” SNAP.
“…panning around the room. If people flip through these photos fast enough it will be like a 360 tour.” SNAP.
“Now we move to the living room. Is that green couch following me?”
“Have I already taken a photo this? Better take a few more just to be sure!” SNAP SNAP SNAP.
“Seriously, that couch is following me. I’m ready to call it a day.” SNAP SNAP SNAP.
This listing contained 20 photos of essentially the same room from multiple angles. Shooting from multiple angles doesn’t necessarily make a listing more salable, great photos do.
