The Middle Eastern-inspired Burr Ridge mansion, once known as the “Villa Taj”, hit the market last Friday with a new name and whole new look. Listed at $10.95 million, the eight-bedroom 30,214-square-foot mansion is a property unlike any other. It was photographed by VHT’s Nick Miller.
Built in 2009, the mansion was originally owned by a dentist who later lost it to a foreclosure. The current owner, investor Arvin Lourdenadin, bought it from a lender for $3.1 million in 2012.
Lourdenadin is now selling the mansion with listing agent Michael LaFido of Conlon Christie’s. LaFido stated in a Chicago Tribune article that Lourdenadin invested heavily in upgrading the mansion. It’s new name is “The Palace Royale”.

Located on a 3.5-acre lot, the Burr Ridge mansion has over 15,000 square feet of covered terraces. Fitting the exotic theme of the property, the exterior was built with gold Jerusalem limestone.
The list of amenities is rather extensive including nine fireplaces, a 20-car heated garage, a cigar room, a wine cellar, a 2,400-square-foot ballroom with a 38-foot-tall ceiling, and a wood-paneled library.
“This house has been totally transformed since it was last on the market,” LaFido stated in the Chicago Tribune article. “The feedback has been amazing from agents and prospective buyers that have been through the home since we orchestrated this transformation.”
